Connecting laptop computers
All the rooms supported by VAVS have been fitted with cables for the purpose of connecting a laptop to the audio visual system.

However MacBook users will in some rooms need an Apple Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter as VAVS does not provide them. |

The cables depicted in the image below are provided as part of the standard in rooms supported by Videoconferencing and Audio Visual Services.

Audio – to feed audio from laptop to system

Video – to feed laptop screen to system - Please bear in mind the screen resolution during videoconferencing must be set at a maximum of 1024 x 768 pixels (XGA). Any higher resolution will in videoconferencing mode give you a very black projector or flat panel display with absolutely nothing on it.
