AMX 5 button control panel

AMX

Please select the PC (Computer) or Video (not available in all rooms) by pressing the corresponding button on the panel above. Once you press a button, the red light in top left corner of the button lights up and a command is sent to the projector or flat panel display, to accept the incoming signal from the selected media. Volume is adjusted by pushing the buttons below the ‘Volume’ label on the panel.

Audio is controlled by the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons on the media selector. Make sure the Dell PC or laptop audio is not muted and turned up if you have an audio component on your presentation. The computer audio control is by way of an icon on the taskbar at the bottom right of your screen. Hovering over the speaker icon will show you the volume as a percentage of maximum volume. Click on the icon to adjust the volume

If you are in a room with a ceiling mounted projector, the image will appear in a couple of minutes as the projector has to warm up first. During this phase please desist from pressing any buttons. If no image appears after 5 minutes please call technical support.

Please remember to press the Off button before leaving the room, unless of course the next lecturer/presenter is already present.

Projectors are generally set to automatically turn off after 3 hours continuous use. To reset this timer, briefly change the media before continuing (i.e change from PC to Video and back to PC) as you otherwise might be in the middle of a presentation when the 3 hours are up.
