[Staff-bulletins] CDC PROJECT UPDATE (No 8) - CAR PARKS & ROADS - DOUGLAS CAMPUS ONLY

Firstly, this e-mail concerns staff and students at Douglas Campus so if you are not one of those, please disregard.  Please refer to attached drawing.

RE-OPENING OF JAMES COOK DRIVE NEAR NURSING SCIENCES

The re-opening of James Cook Drive near Nursing Sciences has been delayed by rainfall this week – it is due to re-open early tomorrow (Fri 18 Jul 08).

RE-OPENING OF OUTSIDE CAR PARK

The unsealed car park opposite the School of Medicine and Rehabilitation and Exercise Sciences is due to re-open on Wed 23 Jul 08.

FINAL ROAD CLOSURE – AT SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

James Cook Drive will be cut again for trenching excavation (one final time) outside the School of Medicine from Wed 23 Jul to Fri 25 Jul 08.  This means that entry to the car parks inside James Cook Drive will be from the southern approach past Nursing Sciences.

REMINDER – UNSEALED CAR PARK NEAR NURSING

As notified earlier, trenching through the mid-section of the unsealed car park between Nursing Sciences and Rehabilitation Sciences has started.  As soon as it reaches the western end, the car park section nearest to Nursing will be closed until the trench is back-filled (no later than 4 Aug 08).  The other unsealed section will remain open and all sealed car parks in the Medical and Rehabilitation precinct will remain accessible.

All car parks and the final road closure will be re-opened prior to the commencement of Second Semester on Monday 4 August 2008.
