Description: |
The Graduate Certificate of Ecotourism is a convenient short course for people interested in becoming nature-based tourism guides, ecotourism operators, or staff at wildlife tourism attractions, parks agencies and in local government. Students have direct access to the World Heritage areas of Wet Tropics, the Great Barrier Reef and to the diverse surrounds of outback Queensland. The course offers core information on ecotourism, wildlife tourism, environmental best practice, green certification and sustainability issues. Subjects successfully completed for this award may be credited towards the Master of Tourism. |

Structure
The Graduate Certificate of Ecotourism is a short coursework degree for students with prior higher education experience. The program leading to the award of the Graduate Certificate of Tourism normally consists of 12 credit points to be completed over a period of six months full-time or up to 24 months part-time.
