Short Biography

I grew up in China. After gaining my bachelor and master degree from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE), I worked as a lecturer at DUFE. My PhD study was carried out at The University of Sydney in Australia. After obtaining my PhD, I worked at Meat and Livestock Australia. Presently I am working at the School of Business of James Cook University. Previously, I taught at the University of Sydney and the University of Technology, Sydney.

Research and Current Research

My research interests include food consumption and agricultural development policy, agricultural prices and marketing, and international trade issues. I had projects supported by Meat and Livestock Australia, and by various university research grants.

I am currently working in the following areas.

  • Economics & sustainable resource management

  • De-carbon economy
