Interactive Multimedia Principles

This subject focuses on multimedia development and delivery; media issues including use, representation, storage and transmission of multimedia signals; audio and video concepts; data network considerations; multimedia services; authoring systems.
Learning Objectives:
- ability to demonstrate a degree of understanding and appropriate use of multimedia technologies for the creation, storage, transmission and use of multimedia content.
Students should be able to demonstrate the required capabilities at a level appropriate for postgraduate studies, including analysis and design.
On-course assessment in the form of assignments, a major project and an examination.
