French Literature

Study of two French literary texts representative of 20th century theatre and prose (offered in even-numbered years). Study of two French literary texts representative of 17th century theatre and 20th century prose (offered in odd-numbered years).

Learning Objectives:

  1. to make students aware of literary movements, genres, themes and critical theories through close analysis of a sample of French novels, short stories, tales, plays and poetic works;

Assessment by assignments and/or class tests.
