Fundamentals of Population Analysis

Townsville HECS Band 1

24 hours lectures, 36 hours practicals. Semester 2.

Staff: Dr S Bandaranaike.

Introduces a working knowledge of basic techniques in the analysis of population change and distribution; and of population and development inter-relations in order to develop practical skills in data analysis.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to familiarise students with practical skills in analysing population data and examine its relevance to planning and development.

Assessment by practicals (50%); project (50%).
