Postgraduate Study at JCU

Australian and New Zealand applicants for postgraduate study apply directly to JCU. Information for international applicants is set out here.


How to apply

Coursework programs
Application to JCU postgraduate coursework programs is made by completing and submitting an Application for Postgraduate Coursework Program form. The form is available from JCU’s Student Enquiries Centre or from the JCU website at: www.jcu.edu.au/studying/entry/forms.html

Certified copies of qualifications and academic transcripts should be attached with the application. There is no application fee for postgraduate study at JCU. Applications for study in 2006 should be submitted by the following dates:

Block mode subjects
Applications must be submitted no later than four weeks prior to the commencement of the study period.

Offers
Applicants for most courses will generally be advised of the outcome within two weeks of submitting their application

Research students
Once an applicant has approval from the relevant JCU Head of School for their research proposal, applicants must complete an Application for Research Candidature form, available from JCU’s Graduate Research School. Certified copies of qualifications and a two page outline of the proposed research topic should be attached with the application form. Research applicants can submit their applications at any time for commencement at the start of the following Teaching Period.
