A Guide to Stream-dwelling Frogs of the Wet Tropics Rainforests

Jean-Marc Hero and Sheree Fickling, 1994

This booklet summarizes current knowledge of the stream-dwelling frogs of the wet tropics rainforests of north eastern Queensland, Australia. Data for species described in the booklet are contributing to evidence for declining frog populations, evidence which has caused alarm among herpetologists around the world.

Keys are provided, together with species descriptions and references. The information provided in the booklet will facilitate future research and enable biologists to identify the wet tropics stream-dwelling frogs. The authors hope that this will ultimately lead to the rediscovery of populations of the frogs that are currently missing.
