The conference aims to respond to a range eco-social issues particularly as they are experienced by and impact on the most marginalised and disadvantaged of the world’s population. It is our intent to engage social workers, human rights activists, and those of other allied disciplines in dialogue that will create insight, promote discussion and stimulate action about the multiple and distinct global and local environmental sustainability issues that threaten and undermine basic human rights and the achievement of social justice. We will be welcoming a wide and varied group of attendees from India, Australia and other diverse locations including practitioners, academics, activists, policy makers and communityand government representativesinvolved in for example, social work, education, health, justice, economics, politics, and environment, human and community services.

Kerala is an ideal location for a conference such as this and will provide the perfect backdrop for networking, discussion and debate.Characterized by undulating topography, varied cultures, religious diversity, interesting history, ancient medical practices, numerous languages, distinct cuisine and captivating landscapes Kerala has it all.

We look forward to you joining us in Kerala, in November
