Spatial Science
Why Study Spatial Science / GIS?
Everything on earth exists in space and time. The Spatial Sciences are in a period of rapid growth as business, management and government have discovered what Geographers have always known – that there is value in location. Spatial Scientists are an identified skill shortage in Australia as well as globally. There has probably never been a better time to invest in a degree in Spatial Science.
Our course is for people who want to acquire or increase their skills in the collection of, manipulation, analysis and delivery of spatially referenced data. The course provides a sound theoretical and practical education in the principles of geographic information system development using ecological, environmental, land and socioeconomic themes. Employment prospects for graduates of this course are outstanding.
