The Centre for Tropical Urban and Regional Planning at James Cook University (JCU) aims to produce planners who can address the planning needs of the growing northern economy.
JCU’s unique location alongside the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics rainforests, the Great Barrier Reef and the fast-growing northern Queensland cities of Townsville and Cairns, provides a living laboratory for the study of the natural environment and economic development.
