Research Title:

The effect of no-take marine reserves on reproductive output of common coral trout, Plectropomus leopardus, on the Great Barrier Reef.

Research Interests:

My research investigates the effect maternal age and size has on batch fecundity, spawning frequency, egg quality and larval survival for the common coral trout (Plectropomus leopardus). Importantly, I will assess to what extent protecting larger and older female coral trout in marine reserves increases reproductive output. I will also look at whether reproductive output varies between regions and years on the Great Barrier Reef.
