Brief Biography
Following undergraduate study in Mechanical Engineering in Germany Harry Suehrcke completed a PhD degree at the University of Western Australia in 1988.After short employment as a research engineer Harry took up an academic position at James Cook University in 1989.In this capacity he taught undergraduate subject including thermofluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer and energy conversion.Sabbatical leave was undertaken in 1992 to the KTH in Stockholm, Sweden and to the University of Waterloo in Canada in 1998. In 2002 Harry Suehrcke moved back to Perth where he became director of Sunspin – an engineering consulting company specializing in energy related consulting, testing and product development.
