Summary:

The United Nations World Tourism Organisation estimates that a record 900 million people will travel abroad in 2007. Unwary travellers overseas risk returning home with an unwanted and potentially deadly memento of their trip. If you are planning your next international or galactic adventure, then its time to think about your health before you leave Australia.

Professor Peter Leggat, MD, will present his 10 Commandments on dealing with some of the common, the exotic and the hazardous diseases of travel.

This lecture will also provide insight into the latest collaborative research at JCU concerning some of the most challenging travel related diseases and their prevention.
