Bachelor of Biomedical Science with Honours

Overview

Description:

Students who demonstrate a strong performance may qualify for entry into the Honours course and a further year of study. The fourth year Honours course consists of thesis research and coursework.

The School of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences has an active research program and offers a number of postgraduate research degrees. These include a Master of Biomedical Sciences, Master of Tropical Veterinary Sciences, Master of Tropical Animal Science, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy.

Normal workload expectations are a minimum of 10 hours per week for every subject, including class contact hours, preparation and time spent on assessment tasks.

  • Completed the requirements of the pas degree or been admitted by the faculty to equivalent status

  • Satisfied the School requirements relating to the standard of academic achievement necessary to proceed to the honours degree

Students who wish to enter the Honours degree will need to complete the following;

Students should also speak to the Honours Coordinator of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences to discuss possible transfer into the Honours degree.

After you have discussed your options with the Honours coordinator you should submit the following form at the Faculty Student Office, Building DA-1, Room 112.
