Research
The Australian Institute of Medical Research has a long history of contribution to medical research in Australia. It is now the umbrella organisation for most of the current initiatives in medical research at James Cook University. In keeping with the strategic intent of the University, the AITM’s prime focus is on fundamental research to improve the health of populations that live in rural, remote, indigenous and tropical communities.
