Study Periods
JCU has 11 study periods, with the main ones being Study Periods 1 and 2 (equivalent to semesters 1 and 2). Each study period has a designated start, finish and census date.
Census dates
The census date for a study period is the last date for all students (domestic and international) to withdraw from subjects in which they are enrolled in that Study Period without incurring student contribution, tuition fee or international student fee liability or, for Commonwealth supported students, without consuming Student Learning Entitlement.
For a full listing of Study Periods and census dates, visit Calendar and Timetables.
