Registration
If you wish to join an academic procession and have not yet registered please complete and submit a Registration Form by 19 March 2010 for all ceremonies.
Academic Dress
Members of the Academic Procession may request the loan of a gown to wear at a ceremony. If required, please complete the ‘Academic Dress’ section on the response form. Loan black gowns are to be collected from the Palm Room at the Entertainment Centre on the day of the ceremony and the Bookshop at the Cairns Campus during the week leading up to the ceremonies. PhD gowns are to be collected from the academic procession assembly room prior to the ceremony.

Please be robed no later than thirty (30) minutes prior to the commencement of the ceremony.

Academic Procession participants will be requested to commence assembling approximately twenty (20) minutes prior to the commencement of the ceremony.

Each ceremony will commence promptly at the scheduled times.
Order of Procession
The procession enters the auditorium in the following order:

Members of the Official Party
National Anthem
Protocol requires that mortar boards/bonnets be removed during the playing of the National Anthem.
Conclusion of the Ceremony
The Academic Procession, led by the Marshall, will leave the auditorium in the reverse order to that which it entered.
A short informal reception for members of the Academic Procession, VIP guests, PhD graduates and their families will be held immediately following the conclusion of the ceremony in the Sheridan Street foyer (Cairns) and the Magnetic Room (Townsville).
Staff is encouraged to join the graduates and their guests who will be being served light refreshments in venue forecourt.
