Indigenous Health Unit

The Indigenous Health Unit (IHU) at JCU is committed to increasing the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health professionals in our region. The IHU staff recruit and provide support to Indigenous students enrolled in health science courses. In collaboration with communities and key stakeholders, the IHU will achieve and improve Indigenous Health through research, teaching and student support by providing a culturally safe academic environment that includes, supports and values Indigenous leadership and development.
