Student health cover (OSHC)
All international students (except Norwegian and Swedish citizens) must arrange Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), and must maintain that insurance cover continuously while remaining in Australia on a student visa. This is a requirement of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
Any family members who are coming to Australia as dependants on your student visa will also need to have OSHC.
Students who do not arrive on a student visa will not be elligible for OSHC until they have obtained a student visa.
