Applying for Undergraduate Study Abroad
Each semester, JCU welcomes study abroad students from all over the world. The Undergraduate Study Abroad Program at JCU offers you the opportunity to study on campus in tropical North Queensland, Australia for one or two semesters and receive credit for your studies at your home institution.
Undergraduate Study Abroad students are able to study 1st, 2nd and 3rd year subjects dependant on meeting the required pre-requisites for entry.

Complete an Application Form for admission to the Study Abroad Program - please make sure to use your full legal name as it appears on your passport.
When completing your application, make sure you list between four to ten subject preferences only. Ensure the subjects are available in the Teaching Period and on the campus you are applying for - for further information, visit Selecting your Subjects.

Send academic transcripts and degree certificates (if completed) from your high school studies and any further studies you have undertaken along with official English translations if applicable. Your academic transcript must be accompanied by the Grading Scale used at the institution/s where you have undertaken your studies.
Please be aware that while posted, faxed or scanned copies of certificates and transcripts can be used during the assessment process; we do require Original Certified Copies to be posted to us. These are copies that are stamped, signed and certified as being true copies of the original documents by a public notary, registered agent of James Cook University or a representative of the institution.

Send copy of the personal details page of your passport, in order to confirm your name and citizenship (if available).

Proof of English language proficiency (if required) - you may be required to provide an Academic IELTS, Pearson (PTE Academic) or TOEFL result that is less than 2 years old - go to English Language Requirements for more information.
