Your Employment Rights

Before you start work, make sure you're aware of your legal rights as an employee, and your responsibilities to your employer. You may find that the work practices and pay rates in Australia are different to what you are accustomed to at home.

Pay Rates

In most workplaces, how much people are paid is governed by modern Awards. Awards specify the minimum amount of payment that you should receive from your employer. For information about award wages, visit Fair Work or call them on 13 13 94.

Health and safety
