Internet Accounting for Postgraduates
Internet accounting for Postgraduates is the same as that for staff of your Faculty.The definition is based on the course code being studeied:
eg: nnnXXn
where XX is in the set of (02,03,04,05,06,07,08,11,12)
(this includes postgraduates by research or by coursework).
All others (usually '10 degree' and '09 honours') are classed as undergraduates.
Internet Accounting for Staff
All staff and postgraduates are now going to be allocated a flat $24.00 per year.
The concept is that quota is allocated globally to Schools and Offices and does not attach to an individual. This model was adopted to avoid as much as possible cases of special pleading, but it is possible for Faculty and Divisional Administrators to set a limit on individual users if required.
Staff Internet Usage Tracking & Administrative Model
Each staff member is prompted for their username and password when using the Internet and usage is aggregated for each user. Please view the Web page at http://www.jcu.edu.au/internetaccounting/ to see staff usage reports that are available.Reports are available for all of JCU and separate reports based on digits of the ORGU Financial Organisational code as follows:

| First Two Digits | Faculty, Division |
| First Three Digits | School, Office |
| First Four Digits | ORGU |
All users that have access to ORGU level and above in the finance system (Finance One) can view staff Internet usage reports for their respective areas, that is, enquiry only access. Faculty Executive Officers and Divisional Administrative Officers will be able to manage Internet usage in their area by setting usage limits on individuals or disabling user access.
