Arrival Services

Complimentary arrival services are available to all new students. Returning students are welcome to register for this service, at their own expense.

New Domestic Students

If you are a new domestic student arriving in Townsville by public transport, you can register for our meet and greet arrival service when you accept your offer of accommodation. You will then be met upon arrival at the following designated places:

  • Airport Arrivals: Arrival gate; Townsville Airport (look for the JCU sign near the baggage claim).

  • Bus Arrivals: Arrival lounge; Townsville Bus Terminal.

  • Train Arrivals: Arrival platform; Townsville Railway Station.

Upon arrival, please look for the JCU sign and your transport host. If you cannot locate your host, or if there have been any changes to your arrival details, please contact your Hall Office or the Duty Residential Assistant .

New International Students

The International Student Centre operates an arrival service during the two weeks prior to Orientation Week which is available to all new international students.
