James Cook University Law Review
Mission Statement
‘The James Cook University Law Review is an annual peer reviewed journal. It welcomes original contributions relating to any legal interest. The aim is to encourage critical, conceptual and contextual analysis of these interests. The James Cook University Law Review values articles that incorporate a discussion of regional topics in a national and international context.’
Submissions
The JCULR Editorial Board invites the submission of original articles, case notes, book reviews and comments for the James Cook University Law Review. Only previously unpublished material that has not been submitted for consideration by another journal will be accepted. Submissions should follow the Advice for Contributors guidelines. In brief:
-
Articles should be between 5000 and 8000 words.
-
Book reviews and review essays should be between 2000 and 5000 words.
-
Case notes should be no longer than 3000 words.
The Editorial Board is interested in receiving and publishing articles written by students. Student assignment or thesis material may require extensive work in order to reach a suitable standard for publication. Undergraduate students are therefore strongly advised to consult with a member of academic staff to ensure their submission is likely to be of a standard to meet the publication requirements of the journal.
Contributors need to download and complete the Contributor Information document and submit with all article submissions to: Law.Review@jcu.edu.au
