Biography
Lisa Westcott is a lecturer with the School of Law at James Cook University in Cairns teaching Legal Research, Writing and Analysis and Bankruptcy and Insolvency. During 2003 Lisa was the Associate Dean of the School of Law in Cairns. This role involved undertaking academic counselling of students in relation to student enrolment policies and procedures.
Being born and bred in Innisfail, Lisa is a local to the area. She graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Laws, First Class Honours in 1998 and a Master of Laws in 2001. Before joining the University Lisa practised as a solicitor with MacDonnells Solicitors, Cairns, for two years where she worked in the commercial litigation section of the firm. Lisa is currently completing a Masters in Education with James Cook University.
