Design and Management of Tropical Agroforestry

Agroforestry has important roles in sustaining human populations in the tropics, including important environmental roles in carbon sequestration, soil protection, and protection against landslips and flooding.

This program focuses on understanding and facilitating the role of tree biodiversity and agroforestry in meeting human needs, particularly in tropical agricultural landscapes. This includes domestication of agroforestry timber and fruit trees, and farm forestry, particularly of mahogany and related species.
