How to apply for Honours
The School of Marine & Tropical Biology Honours program commences in either February or September. Applications for February commencement are due the first working Monday of December and for September commencement the first working Monday of July. We recommend submitting your application as soon as possible, to ensure that a place is kept for you.
The application process is slightly different for International and Domestic students. To confirm if you qualify as a Domestic studentand for an overview of costs and payment assistance, refer to the Domestic students (Commonwealth supported) page.
Domestic Students

Students who completed their Bachelor degree at JCU need to complete and submit the Subsequent Degree application

Students who completed their Bachelor degree at another institution need to complete the Application for Honours (where JCU is not the home institution)
2. You must also complete and submit the Honours application additional information sheet or your application will not be considered and will be returned to you for completion.
The Honours application additional information sheet to confirm that you have discussed your proposed project with a potential supervisor. Initial acceptance into the program is based upon academic merit, and a member of academic staff who is willing to supervise your project.)
International Students
