Ecology and Management of Tropical Vegetation

This research program focuses on the ecology of vegetation in the tropics, to improve our understanding of the dynamics of tropical plant communities, their conservation and management. Particular projects examine the impacts of invasive species, fire and climate change in natural plant communities, the regeneration of rainforest plants in response to disturbances such as cyclones, and nutrient cycling in tropical forests.
