Abstract:

Determining how life history and ecology contribute to rarity and extinction risk of species within an assemblage is of interest theoretically and also crucial for informing regional conservation priorities.

We have been examining the life history and ecology of a diverse assemblage of rainforest vertebrates in the Wet Tropics in order to address fundamental questions in macroecology and life history and also to determine which species will be most at risk under future environmental change.
