The Festival provides a forum for researchers and students to display their research and form collaborative links with other groups in the region. In addition to James Cook University other research institutes are involved including Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS), CSIRO, Department of Primary Industries (DPI), and Queensland Health.
Prizes are awarded in different categories for posters, research presentations and images, including a lucky door prize for poster presenters!
The event is held in Townsville and is free to attend and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
