[Summary]: LearnJCU has been upgraded to resolve a number of urgent issues. [Description]: ITR staff have completed an urgent upgrade to LearnJCU this morning. Due to the nature of the upgrade the decision to proceed with the upgrade was not made until early this morning. The upgrade resolved a number of problems that have been frustrating both staff & students for some time. We have also taken this opportunity to upgrade a number of back-end servers in an effort to minimise future service interruptions. LearnJCU Services resumed at 1:30pm today after a four hour interruption. A side effect of the upgrade was that the LearnJCU certificate was overwritten by the upgrade script. As a result users may be prompted when accessing the LearnJCU web address 'http://learnjcu.jcu.edu.au' that the certificate has expired. Users are requested to accept the 'expired' certificate and proceed to the login page, whereby all services are operating normally. ITR staff are currently working on re-instating the LearnJCU certificate. Once this has been completed the certificate advisory warning will no longer occur. ITR apologise for not complying with our normal notification period of seven days and for the inconvenience to the JCU community. We hope that the JCU community find the improvements of the new version worthwhile.
