Objectives of the Research Office
The reputation and competitiveness of a University relies heavily on the range and quality of its research performance.
The Research Office is an important resource for the provision ofservices to support the management, development,
administration and promotion of university research and research training and is responsible for strategic and
operational planning that will assist the University to:
- expand and diversify external research funding from national and international sources;
- identify and
support opportunities for
research collaboration between university, government, industry and
other
research organisations;
- maintain high ethical standards in compliance with internal and external regulations;
- evaluate and report on research performance against key national parameters and internal planning targets;
- manage the effective administration of research grants;
- develop and implement research policy that accords with Queensland and national policy
and national/international research directions.
