Enrolment Advice and Approval

Associate Deans, Faculty Registrars and Academic Advisers

James Cook University provides for the important functions of authorising student enrolments and the provision of enrolment advice to students through the appointment of staff to the positions of Associate Dean/Faculty Registrar and Academic Adviser.

Each faculty has one or more Associate Deans or Faculty Registrars on each of the Townsville and Cairns campuses. The Associate Dean or Faculty Registrar is authorised to approve student enrolments for a particular course or group of courses. The Associate Dean or Faculty Registrar is therefore the staff member who will approve such things as subject selection, credit for previous studies, degree completion and change of course. The Associate Dean/Faculty Registrar will also assist students with enrolment related enquiries.

Most JCU schools and some courses also have an Academic Adviser who will assist students with enrolment related enquiries relating to a particular school, course or subject discipline.

The Associate Deans/Faculty Registrars and Academic Advisers for each faculty are given below.
