Welcome to the Eddie Koiki Mabo Library
The library building at the Douglas (Townsville) campus of James Cook University houses a collection of over half a million volumes. The building also provides a comfortable and attractive environment for over 850 readers.
In addition to books and journals, the library collections include a wide variety of other material such as maps, microforms, and audiovisual resources. A special feature of the collection is its strength in materials relating to north Queensland studies.
The collection today increasingly includes electronic resources. In the main these are available only to staff and students of James Cook University.
This tour includes only brief notes about the main points of interest. Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to ask one of the staff at the InfoHelp desk located on the first floor.
