High School Entry Requirements

Students interested in undertaking degrees in any of the disciplines within the School of Pharmacy and Molecular Sciences should be aware of high school requisites for these subjects. This includes at least Sound Achievement in high school Maths B (Qld) and Chemistry, or their interstate / international equivalents.

B. Pharm

Faculty of Science, Engineering and Information Technology Course Information

A preparatory chemistry course (CH1020) is run three times annually. It is run in block mode prior to the commencement of first semester in Townsville. Typically this means the course begins in mid-to-late January and concludes in mid February.

Students interested in enrolling in pharmacy must note that they are required to fill out an admission into pharmacy application and submit that well in advance to the QTAC notification date.

International Students

International students who are interested in enrolling in undergraduate subjects from within the School should contact the International Students Office. International students should be aware that they will incur tuition Fees.

Lab Coats and Safety Glasses for Chemistry Labs

All students carrying out study within the school must study CH1001 and CH1002. A requisite for the laboratory is protective clothing. This includes a lab coat that covers your body from your neck to your knee, and safety glasses. These items can be purchased from the bookshop.

Uniforms for Pharmacy Students

Pharmacy students are required to purchase a uniform, Contact Loretta Woodford (Ph. 4781-6976).
