Medals - Excellence is Rewarded

Each year the School of Public Health, Tropical Medicine and Rehabilitation Sciences awards three medals to recognize the performance of our best postgraduate coursework students graduating in the MPH, MPH&TM or Postgraduate Certificate in Travel Medicine in that year.All medals are only awarded if the best student achieves a grade point average of 6.0 or greater.

ACTM medal

ACTM Medal

This Medal is awarded for the best overall performance in the MPH&TM and is sponsored by The Australasian College of Tropical Medicine.

Sidney Sax medal

Sidney Sax Medal

This Medal is awarded for the best overall performance in the MPH and is sponsored by the Anton Breinl Centre for the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and is endorsed by the Sax Family.

MASTA medal

MASTA Medal

This Medal is awarded for outstanding overall achievement in the PGCTravelMed and is sponsored by the Medical Advisory Service for Travellers Abroad.

Graduate with Distinction

With Distinction may be recommended for students achieving a GPA of 6.0 or above in the MPH or MPH&TM.
