Applying for postgraduate courses
Applying for postgraduate coursework programs
Application for postgraduate coursework programs is made by applying directly to JCU. Applicants enrol by filling out an Application for Postgraduate Coursework Program form (pdf file, 248kb), available to download from Forms. You will also need to attach a certified copy of your qualifications when submitting your application (full instructions are included in the application form).
Generally, application forms must be submitted by 1 February, or 21 July for mid-year enrolment. For MBA programs, applications must be submitted 4 weeks before the commencement of a subject. For psychology programs, applications must be made by 28 October, for study in the following year.
Further information is available from JCU’s Student Enquiry Centre
Applying for postgraduate research programs
Applicants will need to contact an appropriate JCU Head of School to seek approval for their research proposal. They then have to complete an Application for Research Candidature form (pdf file, 200kb), available to download from the Graduate Research School’s Forms webpage. You will also need to attach a certified copy of your qualifications when submitting your application. All paperwork is then submitted to JCU’s Graduate Research School.
Applicants who wish to study by research may submit their applications at any time. There is no application fee for postgraduate applications.
