Alternative entry

Alternative entry provides an opportunity for applicants who may not have formal academic qualifications or have not completed Year 12 to demonstrate their capacity for tertiary study.

If you do not have any formal qualifications, alternative entry enables you to use professional qualifications, employment experience, an essay called the Personal Competencies Assessment or the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) to be considered for tertiary study. Applicants are encouraged to sit the STAT test through QTAC. There is a charge for these assessments, and you must be over the age of 21.
