Transport and Parking

Townsville campus

Sunbus provides a regular bus service to and from the campus, city and suburbs. Timetables are available from Student Association or from Sunbus

For those travelling by car, free parking is available in car parks around the campus for 1,875 cars. Permit parking is also available through the purchase of an annual parking permit. Permits are available for purchase from the Bookshop. You’ll need to complete a Parking Permit Application Form first.

Cairns campus

Sunbus provides a regular bus service to and from the campus, city and suburbs. Timetables are available from Student Association or from Sunbus

For those travelling by car, free parking is available on campus for approximately 800 cars. Permit parking is also available through the purchase of an annual parking permit. Permits are available for purchase from the Bookshop.

Cyclists

Bike racks are provided for students around the Cairns and Townsville campuses. Students must ensure that they park their bikes in the bike racks and not elsewhere around the campus.

Tertiary Transport Card

Full-time students can apply for a Tertiary Transport Card to qualify for a 50 per cent discount on public transport in Queensland, including Sunbus in Townsville and Cairns.
