Conference Program
The Conference Organising Committee has produced a program that provides an arena for dialogue on the theory and practice of racism. The conference will provide an opportunity to share information on the experiences of racism in a national and in a global context. The program aims to create an impetus for change and development as well as inform public debate by identifying policy and program issues, strategies and education tools, as well as best practice and innovative programs in combating racism.
The program will offer a range of formats in which to contribute to the conference including oral presentations, interactive workshops and poster presentations. Organisations and individuals have submitted their ideas for the conference program as they relate to the themes below.
-
Manifestations and Impacts of Racism
-
Fear, Nationalism and Race Hate
-
Racism in Specific Contexts
-
Developing Anti-Racist Futures - Visualizing alternatives for the future
There will be a keynote address for each theme from internationally renowned speakers spread across the two days. Supplementing these keynote addresses will be a series of parallel sessions taking up each theme focus.
