- The life cycle on the frog starts when the motile zoospore (top right)
attaches to the epidermal layer (top left) and penetrates the
stratum corneum. The zoosporangium is roughly spherical.
- Growth is demonstrated by increase in diameter
of the zoosporangium and complexity of its contents.
- During development the discharge papilla develops (third
diagram from left) .
- This allows escape of the zoospores when the cap is lost
(fifth diagram from left).
