Relative to other Australian universities most of our biology trained students, in whatever discipline, end up in interesting jobs in biology.
Because we are small and focussed our students get a very broad training in almost every aspect of biology. Our graduates have both theoretical and practical skills. Undergraduates get experience in tropical biology on numerous field courses, and most get further hands-on practise by working with researchers in their areas of particular interest.
Development of all-round skills and experience is encouraged. By doing things you will get the skills and the confidence needed to be an independent biologist.
Our graduates are distributed around the world doing interesting things in exciting places. Within Australia our graduates are almost everywhere. With most major employers we are providing second and third generation recruits. Our graduates have a good reputation, we intend to keep it that way.
