Who do I contact if I have a question?
Most student queries concern enrolling in, planning and changing subjects, majors, and courses. If you have this kind of query, the first point of contact is the Student Services office in the Faculty of Law, Business and Creative Arts. For Townsville-based students, the email for that office is:facultylbca.tsv@jcu.edu.au. For Cairns-based students, the email for that office is: facultylbca.cns@jcu.edu.au. Student Services have a large amount of expertise in the planning of courses for students.
If you have already spoken to Students Services and you need further advice about your subjects, majors and courses, then for undergraduate matters you should contact the SoCA Course Coordinator Mr. Mitch Goodwin mitch.goodwin@jcu.edu.au; and for Honours matters, contact the SoCA Honours Coordinator Dr. James Brown gordon.brown@jcu.edu.au .
If you are a Higher Degree by Research candidate, or enrolled in a Masters’ coursework program, and you are seeking advice, you should contact the SoCA Director of Research, Dr. Steve Campbell steven.campbell@jcu.edu.au
If the matter is of a non-routine nature, if for example you require special assistance, permissions, or authorisations, or are involved in a grievance matter, then you should contact the SoCA Head of School, Professor Peter Murphy
