The School of Creative Arts will offer entry bursaries as an on-going initiative. They are open to full time, first year undergraduate Creative Arts students on either the Cairns or Townsville campuses of James Cook University. To be eligible students will need to have achieved a Queensland Overall Position (OP) between 1 and 10, or its equivalent in other Australian states. The value of the bursary is $1,000 for one year. This will be paid in two instalments April and September. Each year the School will offer up to five bursaries. | |

Applicants are invited to apply for a "William Williams Scholarship" which is for students who seek to undertake a research and practice program in the music or sound disciplines. The Scholarship is only available to applicants at Honours, Masters and PhD level. Closing date is the final Friday in November each year although applicants can apply at any time for special consideration. | |

The School of Creative Arts seeks to support and promote research and scholarship at the Honours level. For 2010, up to two bursaries will be made available for students to undertake an Honours year in the disciplines of Visual Arts, Theatre, Photography or Communication Design. |
