Terms of Reference
The Committee shall provide advice to the Finance Committee about the University Bookshop
- financial operations,
- strategic direction,
- management policy, and
- future planning.
If the Chair is absent from any meeting the members present shall elect one of their number to chair the meeting.
At any meeting 50% of the membership plus one shall form a quorum.
The Chair at a meeting of the Committee shall have a vote and in the case of an equality of votes shall have a second or casting vote.
The Committee may appoint working parties to report to the Committee on specific matters of concern.
The Committee shall meet at least 4 times in each calendar year. At the meeting following the end of each quarter Financial Statements shall be received for presentation to Finance Committee. At the appropriate time a special meeting to consider the annual budget shall be called.
After each of its meetings the Committee shall submit a report to the Finance Committee with recommendations on matters requiring Finance Committee's decision.
Subject to the general direction of the Finance Committee the Committee shall make its own rules for the conduct of its business.

- President, JCU Student Association
- General Manager, JCU Student Association
- Chief Financial Officer and Director, Financial and Business Services Office (or nominee )
- Member of the Academic Staff who acts as the Bookshop Liaison Officer
- Director, Information Services (or nominee)
- Manager, University Bookshop (who shall also act as Secretary to the Committee
