Steering committee

James Cook University Australia in May, 2011, acquired full ownership of JCU Singapore. It is the intention of the University to operate as a Tri-City University to further advance the Statement of Strategic Intent and so as to position JCU as Australia’s Tropical University.

A Steering Committee has been formed, chaired by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, JCU Singapore, and the Chair of Academic Board, to make recommendations to the Vice-Chancellor on the changes that need to be addressed for the University to truly operate as a Tri-City University particularly with respect to the integration of the Singapore Campus.

The Steering Committee commenced its work in June 2011 and will develop a report to Vice Chancellor that will make recommendations to achieve the Tri-City University objectives within the next 2 to 3 years.
