Academic records

An academic record is a complete listing of courses and units you have studied at JCU and can be used to confirm your qualifications.

Unofficial academic record

An unofficial academic record is not produced on official JCU stationery and may be obtained free of charge by contacting or visiting your Faculty Office in Townsville, or the Student Enquiry Centre in Cairns.

Official academic record

An official academic record is produced on official JCU stationery tailored for the statement of academic records and is certified by the Registrar. An original academic record is a secure document and carries the following endorsement:

This statement of academic record is printed on blue James Cook University security paper without alterations or erasures. When photocopied, the word “COPY” appears prominently across the front of the document. The microprinting security line, which reads “James Cook University" under magnification, will not be readable on a copy.

To request an official academic record, complete the application form and hand-deliver to the Student Enquiry Centre at either the Townsville or Cairns campus, or post to the relevant Cashier’s Office (details on the form).

An application for an official academic record takes approximately five working days to process and can be collected from your relevant Student Enquiry Centre. Alternatively you can have the academic record posted to you, or for an additional fee (as indicated on the form), we can express post or fax to you.

An official academic record costs $10.00 for one copy, $15.00 to three copies or $20.00 for six copies. Only pre-paid requests will be processed. Payments can be made (with the completed form):
